How to Texas Rig a Softbait
Texas Rigs are an ideal type of rigging for many fishing situations. For example, a Texas rig makes getting caught up on grass a rare occurrence. The process of Texas Rigging a bait is very simple, and it doesn't take much effort to perform the task.
These are the two steps necessary to master the Texas Rig:
1. Push the hook through the top of the front/ head of the bait, but do pull the eye through the bait
2. Push the bait slightly forward from the bottom, and then push the hook into the bait; not far enough so that it goes out the top of a bait.
I personally believe YouTube is a great way to learn, so I will be including a video by Andrew Flair and "Flukemaster" below. Under the videos; there is also a chart.
